Overcoming Fear: What's The Worst That Could Happen

What are the things that you dream of doing? Do you long to build a fulfilling relationship, start a business, get into a new position, complete your degree, travel the world, or stay committed to your decisions? So often, our fearful thoughts disempower us and we don’t pursue our hearts desires. This is the case for over 80 percent of the people in the U.S today. They are paralyzed by fears. Think about it! What’s the worst that can really happen if you step outside of yourself, trust God, and go after dreams and goals? We fear failure, which is just a part of the growth process. We fear inadequacy, even though we know we were designed to do that specific thing. We fear what other people think, even though those people a part of the 80 percent that never live their own dreams. We worry about being too old, even though there’s no expiration date on our dreams. I challenge you to try it….Step out on faith, and attempt to do the thing that scares you. There is something empowering about getting out your comfort zone and pursuing your dreams. You will have new and exciting experiences, you will grow as an individual, you will develop great relationships, and you will overcome obstacles and fears. Trying new and challenging things won’t be easy. Why would it be? It’s something that you’re not accustomed to. But in order to grow, you have to take risks that make you uncomfortable. Familiarity feels better but it will keep you stagnant. Challenge yourself. Go after that dream! And when all those negative thoughts come to your head, ask yourself “What’s the worst that can happen.” Remember... For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) Be encouraged! I am here to support you throughout the process.
